A SMOOTH MOVE TO THE NEW HEAD OFFICE
With over 530 arts and crafts stores across UK and Ireland, The Works were after an easy move to their new head offices. Part of the move called for a coffee-forward refreshment solution to keep their large team fuelled and happy. We provided a wide range of solutions, including The We Proudly Serve Starbucks® Coffee Programme that kept the workforce motivated throughout the workday.
The Works is one of the UK's leading multi-channel specialist retailers of value gifts, arts, crafts, toys, books and stationery. Their mission is to offer customers a unique and enjoyable shopping experience, built on their core principles: value, variety and quality.
During the transition of moving to their new headquarters, The Works were in need of a top-tier coffee offer that would work for different areas across the building, without compromising on quality and with as little hassle as possible. With a staff and distribution team of over 300 employees during peak trading periods, removing 'bottle necks' at break times was held as a high consideration for The Works. High vending machine speed and machine reliability were also key factors in finding The Works' perfect solution.
After establishing the unique needs and challenges of The Works' move, Selecta delivered a range of flexible machine types, products and payment methods to suit the key objectives of both management and staff. Without access to coffee shops on their doorstep, our Starbucks® We Proudly Serve self-service solution became a much-needed addition to The Works' lunch and meeting areas. In addition to this, we installed a Ferrara coffee machine serving Selecta's own label Miofino bean to cup coffee in the ground floor reception and on the top floor to be used by Directors and within meeting rooms. To ensure that disruption was kept to a minimum, all machines were installed on the quietest day of the week as per our client's request.
To this day, we deliver a Fully Managed Service including a hassle-free vending solution that takes care of all installation, cleaning and maintenance, including same-day call-outs for issues or breakdowns, so they don't have to lift a finger.
The Works have received an extremely positive reaction from their staff, clients and customers as a result of our efforts. Employees are spending less time offsite, have increased levels of engagement, motivation and morale and visitors love the setup and quality of the coffee.
