ROUND THE CLOCK COFFEE AT A 24-HOUR BROADCASTING NETWORK

As one of the UK's foremost media companies, ITN needed a complete catering service to accommodate its 700+ UK members of staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The ITN offices now boast nine fresh milk coffee machines and a fully-serviced mini Foodies MicroMarket, a bespoke food and beverage solution offering an easily accessible on-site facility for all of ITN’s employees to enjoy.

CHALLENGE

Operating for over sixty years, ITN is a broadcasting company based in London, which creates
award-winning news programmes for ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, reaching around 10 million people every day.

After 11 of their self-service Nespresso coffee pod machines started to wane due to over usage and under maintenance, ITN began searching for a new food and beverage service that would not only relieve employees from cleaning, filtering and maintaining the coffee stations, but also cater to all of the needs of their departmentalised teams. ITN does not have a communal café area, so they needed to find a service that was accessible to everyone.

SOLUTION

After listening closely to ITN’s needs, we delivered a proactive and personalised approach that included a fully stocked Foodies MicroMarket with popular food and drink products their employees can enjoy day or night. The ITN offices run 24 hours a day with employees working unusual hours, so our bespoke Foodies has made it much easier for them to buy a snack, meal or drink on the go.

The days of having employees maintain the machines are over! In the previous set up, ITN employees were responsible for maintaining the Nespresso coffee stations. Now, we take care of all the cleaning, repair, maintenance and restocking duties necessary and ensure ITN’s basic health and safety requirements are met in their food and refreshment offerings.

RESULT

Employees can enjoy a refreshment, meal or snack round the clock. As a result, coffee and vending machine usage have increased 4x since replacing the Nespresso pod machines.

ITN's working relationship with Selecta has blossomed since the installation of the first coffee machine in 2016.
