Pelican Rouge coffee
A bold blend of rich heritage and innovative craftsmanship created by coffee making experts.

Heritage and craftsmanship
Our Pelican Rouge coffee brand is a bold blend of rich heritage, innovative craftsmanship and authentic coffee creation.
Strongly rooted in the rich history of coffee pioneers, Pelican Rouge coffee was established in Antwerp in 1863 by Joseph van Leckwijck and his sons. From the start, they produced high quality yet affordable coffee that could be widely enjoyed.
The passion, commitment and innovative thinking required to deliver great tasting coffee and bring people together still drives us 150 years on.

Expertly created
Today, it is expertly created by our roaster in Dordrecht, the Netherlands.
Our experienced craftspeople have mastered every stage of the coffee making journey, from bean to cup, to ensure every sip provides a great taste experience.
We use our expertise to work with our customers to deliver quality, consistency, character and the choice of coffee they need.
From our new Heritage and Natural collections to the everyday favourites of our Roastery House range, as well as separate blends for instant and ground coffee, all are designed to satisfy the different market tastes.

Responsible sourcing
We recognise our responsibilities to both the environment and local communities.
Our coffees are sourced from more than 20 countries around the world and we are proud that almost 50% of our coffee is already certified (Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ). We are striving to increase this further.
By consciously choosing certified products, we help ensure sustainability for our clients and future generations.
Locally we continue to strive for even more environmentally friendly packaging and all of our packaging has been aluminium-free since 2003.
