Around 75 representatives from Selecta's current and prospective suppliers attended the event, giving them the opportunity to meet face-to-face with Selecta's marketing and category team.

Following a review of last year's Brand Day and how well it had worked for both Selecta and its suppliers, the event then focused on some of the advertising and promotional opportunities with Selecta, ways to maximise the potential of new products and the importance of good forward planning.

One of Selecta's main suppliers, United Biscuits, gave the company a glowing reference with a presentation on how they have successfully worked with Selecta in the past 12 months to launch and promote new products. Selecta's promotional process is specifically designed to target consumers who are looking for regular changes in products. This enables both Selecta and its clients to ensure that consumers are provided with a continuously fresh vending offer.

"The event was a tremendous success and it was great to see so many people turn up," says Selecta sales and marketing director Jonathan Barr. "The feedback we received from everyone who attended was very positive and we are already looking forward to next year's event."
