Selecta helps Greencore double its hot drink sales! |

UK, April 2010 Employing more than 7,500 people globally, the Greencore Group is a leading international manufacturer of convenience food. With the responsibility of arranging the catering for the UK's 13 sites, Elaine McCarrol, Group Non Resale Controller, has streamlined the company's vending offering and doubled its hot drinks sales. "With 13 unique and specialist sites, we previously used four vending operators to cater for our 6,500 employees. It meant our vending was very fragmented, Selecta offered the flexibility we needed, working collectively as one company across all sites but meeting each site's individual needs," said Elaine McCarrol. After streamlining their vending facility, Greencore trialled Selecta's Grande Milano, a premium hot drinks vending machine that offers a range of café style drinks including miofino coffee in a large, 12oz paper cup with sip lid; similar to the high street and all good value for money. |  | The Greencore trial site saw the Grande Milano machine increase hot drink sales by an incredible 196%, with the number of vends per week increasing from 643 to 1902 despite the price increase! As a result of this trial, a second Grande Milano was installed on the site, which a Selecta merchandiser services daily. Since then we have run a second successful trial and are now planning to trial the Grande Milano on a third site.
